The teddy bear principle in programming

It's very simple: Put a teddy bear on your desk. When you have a programming problem, explain what you are doing to the teddy bear. Eureka is a likely outcome of this method.

  1. I usually just explain it to my wife and get the same result. She is cute r (is that a word) then a teddy bear. I do like this idea though. I might try it, although I imagine my daughters stealing the bear often.

  2. I too explain it to my partner, even though about 80% of the time she falls asleep. She's cuter than a teddy bear, but far more vicious!

  3. What a coincidence! I got a ceramic teddybear at a market stall last week. The class decided to call him Muhammed...

    Now I can use him to do something useful.
